RNSG 2140 Capstone Nursing
This non-clinical course is designed to facilitate the transition from nursing student to entry-level registered nurse generalist. Emphasis is placed on the integration of leadership, management, delegation, and professional development skills within contemporary healthcare systems. Students examine legal, ethical, economic, and political influences on healthcare delivery and explore the nurses role in promoting safe, high-quality, patient-centered care across diverse populations. Curricular threads including communication, clinical reasoning, evidence-based practice, technological competence, and quality improvement are incorporated throughout the course. The course culminates in NCLEX-RN readiness preparation and professional portfolio development. This is a web-enhanced course; students may be required to access course content, submit assignments, or complete assessments online through Blackboard Ultra and/or other learning platforms.
