LACT 1101 Introduction to Breastfeeding and Lactation Concepts
This course provides an overview of breastfeeding concepts from the perspective of the mother, newborn, and family. Topics include: the history of breastfeeding; lactation management evolvement; cultural aspects of breastfeeding; and nutritional benefits. In addition, basic counseling strategies are introduced.
