High School Initiatives

The High School Initiatives Office oversees all dual enrollment programs at GNTC. Dual enrollment (DE) allows qualified high school students to maximize their education and career training by taking courses that earn college and high school course credit at the same time. DE also offers other significant advantages like reducing college tuition costs and accelerating college graduation timelines.

Eligible students can take courses that lead to an associate degree, a technical diploma, or technical certificates while in high school. Degree-level general education courses are transferrable to all University System of Georgia schools and other four-year public and private colleges and universities. Courses can be taken on a GNTC college campus, online or hybrid, or possibly on a high school campus.

GNTC’s dual enrollment program is nationally accredited by the National Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships (NACEP). This national accreditation serves as a guarantee to students, parents, policy-makers, and other postsecondary institutions that the dual enrollment program at GNTC meets rigorous national standards.
