Phlebotomy Technician (PT21) Certificate

Program Description:
The Phlebotomy Technician program trains students to draw and process blood specimens. Phlebotomy technicians typically work in concert with medical lab technicians in hospitals or other healthcare organizations. Topics covered include human anatomy, anatomical terminology, venipuncture, and clinical practice.

Note: Students will be required to purchase mandatory uniform and minimal supplies for the Phlebotomy program, along with completing a CPR course. Students entering the Phlebotomy program are required to complete a standardized physical examination, drug screen, background check, Health Program Orientation and pay liability insurance prior to having physical contact with patients. Each student will be given a physical form from the instructor of PHLT 1030 course. PHLT 1050 requires daytime clinical hours.
